Managing Partner
Venkat has more than 25 years of consulting and financial services industry experience. Venkat was associated with Ernst & Young for about 7 years, wherein he managed audits of international banks and multi-national companies’. Later on, Venkat joined Samba Financial Group (samba), an affiliate of Citibank N.A. and worked in compliance, finance, audit, and treasury & risk management functions. During his association with Samba, Venkat has brought in several process and control efficiencies by implementing various value-added procedures and also brought in delivery and cost optimization in various functions. Further, Venkat has been instrumental in the implementation of Basel framework, various IAS and IFRS accounting standards.
Prior to promoting Add Alpha in the year 2010, Venkat worked with TVS Capital Funds (a private equity firm) based in Chennai as Executive Director & CFO. During his tenure with TVS Capital Funds, Venkat established the entire finance and accounting framework for the fund and also managed the capital call and risk management functions. As part of the fund raising initiative, Venkat networked with most of the big banks in India and held regular meetings and presentations to the team.
Venkat is an Associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India since 1994. He did his bachelor’s in mathematics from PSG College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore.
